Larson made his First Communion this past April! He's such a rule following, Christ like young boy! He prays for people who cuss, kids without homes, people without food,...a caring heart that we are very proud of! May you always be of this pure Christian heart, son! We love you!

I had to photograph Layton all dressed up for the event! He was a proud brother!

It's Been 4 Years!!!!!

So where do I begin? We've been busy growing up over the last several years! I just might pop in a 2011 -2012 set of pics mow and then. Here's a wrap up of k and 2nd grades. We enjoyed a summer of baseball and lake time! The beach pics will have to come in their own post! Too many to choose from!
Kindergarten for Layton was amazing, even though he didn't settle well with momma separation at first. I would bribe him to get out of car by coming for lunch, then I'd have to pry him off my leg. Whenever we had breaks off, he'd have to be retrained to walk back in to class! He loved school once he got adapted again! The fear of change, I guess? He loved mrs. Creswell! She chose him for a Christmas award from the North Pole conductor. He was given a golden ticket for putting others first! I'm so proud! His close friends in class were cousin Kenzie, Olivia Campbell, Jonah's sis, and Heath Owen. We had him over after school some, along with Kyle Henderson! I think he will always seem like a kindergartener to me bc he is my baby! That face and stance is forever etched in my brain! (Almost forgot that I was his sub on day 5 and a few other days...fun times....)
2nd grade was a phase of immense growth for Larson! He served on jump rope team and the lil dribblers team, along with keeping up proficient grades! He became a very strong reader! He had a small knee slapping part in their school play, too! He's Mr independent and does what's expected, plus a lil more! Mrs Henderson bragged on his precious caring heart! He was a good friend /role model in a lunch group she formed. His best bud was in his class, Davis Mulhearn! They were on the same soccer, baseball, and football teams! They have so many similarities and are both very athletic! I'm proud of this great bond they've created! I was also fortunate enough to be his class sub on a few occasions!
This pic was taken in June at their first visit to All Aboard Cafe. A train ran on a ceiling track and delivered our food! We had a great time and enjoyed our choo choo burgers!

On the Ball!

Spring soccer came to a close for Layton on the Mighty Mights and Larson on the Rocketballs w/ Coach David. It was so cute to see Layton take his first stab at learning to play and he did very well. Larson has 2 years under his belt, and continues to love the hussle of the game! He is very passionate about the sport (or competitive one). Larson is now in full swing with coach-pitched softball (coached by his Dad). It's not as fast paced as soccer, but he does pretty well with it. He can be found at second base filling his glove with dirt at times-LOL! He said he needs to get his batting practice in by playing the WII sports video game each day. It has actually helped him too! Layton is a good cheerleader for brother too--"good hit Lar Lar!" Cuz Brady played on the opposing team this past weekend and batted very well twice. I had to snap a pic of both of them smiling after the game, even as competitors. It might not be that way in a few years!

Seagrove Beach, FL

The pics say it all---Larson and Layton's First Beach Trip! Does every child know exactly what to do as soon as they hit the sand? My two acted as if they had grown up here! I guess they had enough background through BEACH books and videos. This was the most amazing place along the beach that I had ever visited! Besides the white sand, we had clear water, beach side cafes, bike/jog paths, nearby parks, vendors, etc. We were 15 minutes from Panama City Beach, which had Pier Park (like Branson Landing), but much more for kids to do. Larson and Layton rode a train that went around the shops, and played a few interactive jump games, etc. We went into town to do some go-carts and arcades. Their favorite part was always the ocean- finding sea shells, crab fishing, sand burying, boogey board surfing and sand angels! What a beautiful memory etched at this beautiful part of the world! Thank you dear Lord for the blessings we had during this family trip and the beauty of the beach to lay our eyes upon your glory!

Jan/Feb--busy growing boys!

Layton is my newest model! He's a great poser now for some new shots of faded backgrounds! He's enjoying our new jungle gym in our new BIG backyard!
Larson's preschool (UCA) went to the LR ice rink. He was natural and ran on the ice too! He thinks he could be the next "ice princess"- ha! Sorry dad!
