Jesus' Bday...Blessed Christmas

CHRISTMAS 08 MEMORIES:
Larson re-enacts Jesus' Birth/Travel to Bethlehem with his Lil People Manger Set
Favorite book: Baby in a Manger, Nutcracker
Witnessing "Bethlehem Revisited" at Antioch Church with Larson and Layton.....Larson joined singers on stage
5 Family celebrations as usual...big families, many travels
makes for many sicknesses:
Layton has been sick since end of Nov, before his bday
Larson went to bed with fever on Cmas Eve, awoke with much congestion, but still bouncing like Tigger on Cmas day
went to family functions, against mommy's better judgmnt
Took Layton to Dr. yesterday, 2nd time in 3 weeks,
checked blood and Xrayed.....found touch of pneumonia.
Poor, poor baby is on antibiotics, wanting to be held often
with many smiles and peek a boo still
Talk about cabin fever....will get out again when weather stops the flip flopping from freezing to warm....Here's to a Healing New Year!

Larson's School Christmas Party

from L to R: Layton, Larson, Brenna, Bryan

from L to R: Jonah, Mason, Larson and Bryan

Larson enjoyed his first school Christmas party at the UCA Child Study Center. Layton and I had a great time too! We ate delicous snacks and then played a musical game to pass the present. Larson received the book, The Dog and the Cat, from his friend Bryan. Layton even relaxed enough to sit in another Mom's lap, while Mommy had a breather!
Larson will be out of school for a whole month, since he is on UCA's schedule! Wow! What a great teacher break too! Library, Playworld, Jumpzone, Chic Fil A & BK playyards here we come!

Larson-4 years and Layton-2 years...Bday Fun

Notice Larson's side says...."Lightening Larson"

stopping for a quick family pose

Here everyone was singing Happy Bday and Larson was singing right along, with Layton smiling shyly...but then he clapped a big "Yeah" at the end.

jumping fun with neighbor, Dallas and friend, Jenni

singing fun with cuz Brady

cruising fun with my new (BATTERY!) 4 wheeler from Nano

cake eating fun.....guests- brady, kenzie, jenni, levi, brenna, bryan, hugh, gracie, tristan, dallas, baby owen, and hunter.....many parents and grandparents
balloon fun

Okay, where did 4 years go? It's a grand time of new found independence for the boys, but only a loss of snuggles for Mom and Dad. Larson no longer wants Baby Einstein like baby brother....and baby brother is no longer a baby! That was the theme of his first bday party!

Boo hoo! Let's do a birthday rewind...

Larson's 2nd bday

Larson's 3rd bday

Here's to another great year and another combo bday planned together....as long as mommy can get away with it!

Mommy's Favorite Pic

Just adding some Summer fun ones. This is from a Friday playgroup at Sonshine Academy's Gym Fun Day. This pic was taken before we entered. I think they were a tad excited!

Halloween Hodge Podge

Larson visited the College Square Retirement Home for a pre trick or treating field trip with his school mates. This was so much fun. It was more of a physical ed trip though. These little ladies practically chased them down with candy! Ha! Again, it was very heartwarming to see their faces light up when they arrived in costume. Little Layton went along and caught on real fast as to the sequence of events- just smile and grab.

Choo choo made from oil barrels This is the most exciting Pumpkin Farm in the state-Quitman's "Pumpkins and More!" As you can see, there's lots more than pumpkins! I was only able to handle Larson this Sat. afternoon (post surgery). Layton was still napping. This place is only 4 miles or so down the road from our cabin on Greer's Ferry. How exciting to make this new discovery! If you ever get a chance to make a weekend visit, it's only 40 minutes from Conway (Marketplace).

Here at the cabin for pumpkin carving with the Larson, Layton, cuz Brady and Kenzie. I think the pic with the big boys and their hands raised is funny! I guess it was teacher time again...it's just innate!
